Are there any rewards or incentives to play PVP/GVG? I know that there is a chest with goodies for the winning team at the end of Hall of Heros, but do the other types of PVP games provide any reward at all other than faction points?

If not, whats the point of doing it?

no, i'm not referring to the championships...i'm talking about normal, average, everyday PVP play. Whats the point of it if there are no rewards? (other than HoH, of course)

you should be doing it for fun

and yes there are more rewards, you can gain fame and increase your guild rank

I wish that PvP players had rewards like unlocking items through faction, or unlocking items that they should have had in the first place, like HoD Swords/Axes, Green Items, etc. It's ridiculous what PvE players have in advantages over PvP characters. Plus, you get 4 weapon slots to put up without hassle.

I play PvP because it's fun and enjoyable. Simple as.

If you want rewards, go work.
Game isn't supposed to be about rewards, only reward you need is - fun.
